We can’t quite believe that it’s Christmas week

We can’t quite believe that it’s Christmas week – the year that none of us will ever forget – and possibly the year that most of us will be glad to see the back of.

But here at Viva La Foto studios, we’ve been creating happy memories throughout the year, taking wedding photos, maternity shoots, family captures and newborn photography, plus everything in between.

This week at Viva La Foto…

It has certainly been a busy week. A lot of families wanted to capture the year we’ve had, so we’ve had requests for shoots in face masks and extended families coming together for sessions; this year has made many of us think about our wider families. We’ve also been busy processing photos in time for Christmas Day, as gifts of family moments have been popular for the same reason.

Here’s Oliver pictured sleeping on our very popular prop – the scales, which are great for giving a sense of scale (get it?) when it comes to newborns. Oliver was on his best behaviour for the shoot – mostly because he slept very soundly! Just 11 months later and Oliver returned for his one-year ‘Smash The Cake' birthday shoot.

Here’s another family that were fun to shoot – The dad was particularly proud to show off his baby boy after having four daughters in a row. We reckon the little man will be spoilt rotten growing up with four sisters!

Most of the families who visit us for their photography session live within the Bromley borough, so it’s always lovely to hear that we’ve discovered from a little further away. The couple that came to photograph their baby girl discovered us on Instagram and travelled from Essex to get the shots they were after.

And more happy news…Beth and Darren got married in Croydon! And Viva La Foto was on hand to capture their perfect day. The confetti shots are always lovely for framed photos in living rooms and we were lucky with the weather too.

Finally, we’re sharing a rare photograph of ourselves to wrap up Christmas week. We almost forgot what it was like being on the other side of the camera for a change. Sadly, grandad is no longer with us, so we’re grateful that we have this lovely memory capturing all of us together for something to truly treasure.

And on that note, we’d like to say, from our family to yours, we wish you a Merry Christmas.

Until next week - have fun, stay safe – and keep creating those happy memories!
